could I've given my boyfriend Genital herpes w/my cold sore?
PLEASE HELP!! Im going to go to a docotor soon about this same question but need a response ASAP. I gave my boyfriend oral sex and that night I found I was recieveing my friend the cold sore-which I get about 2x a year- so i know it was from me and not him. Could I've given him genital herpes w/my cold sore? This is the last thing I want to happen to him. I am freaking out! Thanx for anyone who response. PEACE>>>JUSTaGIRL

Yes, unfortunately there is a chance that you have given your boyfriend Genital Herpes by performing oral sex with an active cold sore. But it's not you who need to see a doctor, it's your boyfriend. He should get a test.
Have you told him about the cold sore? Because you have to, and it's certainly better to do it now than wait untill he freaks out about symptoms of Genital Herpes. He will appreciate you being up front and no just waiting for him to come up with symptoms. Besides, he might not have caught it, but it's best to be honest.
