Herpes on the hand
About three months ago I came into sexual relations with a very close friend of mine, about 2 weeks afterwards I started to have pain in the tip of my penis, I never developed blisters or sores or anything of that nature. I have gone to several doctor's in the last 3 months and was finally given a HIV/Herpes test. my results came back HSV1 Negative HSV 2 Negative but the third part of the test for HSV simplex came back positive.
At the time I was waiting for these results they had treated me for "Jock Itch", I was given an antifungal cream for the jock itch.
I'm currently waiting 4 more weeks before I can go back to get another HSV test to see if I have 1 or 2, but my main fear is that before the idea of Herpes came into being I did touch/manipulate my penis/scrotum area on a daily basis, sadly enough I did not use gloves, but I always washed up before and after each "Examination". My main question is now a great concern, I'm worried I might have spread this from my genitals to my hands, I've developed some rather small pimple like skin irritations on my left hand (the one that did most of the probing). I've never had a "Sore" or "Lesion" so far on my genital area, but I do have this rash like redness around the tip/base/scrotum area.
I'm personally scared to come into contact with any other humans, out of fear of spreading this via "Hand" contact, I've stopped wearing my contacts and despite my research, cannot find much information on herpes infecting the human hand. My last visit to a doctor ended with them saying "Bug bites" but these little pimples are spearding, but not breaking/crusting over, I'm going in for a culture on them tomorrow and want to know if these things will continue to come back time and time again if they are indeed herpes.
Why is there so little information and why is there so little mentioned about spreading herpes from one part of the body to another? I know it's rare but it's scary and I have no clue as to what to do, and more importantly is there any way to get rid of the ones on my hands, I haven't physically touched a single person since I noticed the little bumps last week.
Could it be possible that the pimples are something else?
Sorry for having such a long message for myf irst post. thanks for reading and thank you more for responding, I'm personally terrified right now.

Completely agree. Managing
Completely agree. Managing this forum I feel so horrible for everyone that has to suffer with herpes. There's hope and a cure can't be too far along.
Odd.
Odd.
It's a skin to skin spread
It's a skin to skin spread not just genital or oral. If you touch an infected area and touch other parts of your body and don't wash with soap and water you're going to continue to spread it all over. Always wash your hands anytime that you touch a sore/infected area.

It doesn't matter if there
It doesn't matter if there was an open cut or not. It spreads from skin to skin contact. You didn't wash your hands appropriately after touching your sores and thus transferred it to another part of your body.
There is also no excuse for
There is also no excuse for not finding a cure for cancer. It doesn't mean that it's not being worked on though.
I've gotten cold sores on my
I've gotten cold sores on my lips ever since I was a little girl..Not sure how I got them but all of my siblings and my mother get them as well. My mother also has genital herpes.
Anyway I bit my lip yesterday n got a cold sore. I guess you can have an outbreak from trauma to the affected area as well as from stress, poor nutrition, lack of sleep n low immune system ect. About 3 months ago my friend who also gets cold sores told me she pops em with a hot wash cloth n then applies Campho phinque to it. They imediately go into the healing process. I tried this n it worked exactly like she said. It never even got a chance to become a huge blister. So yesterday after it started to fill with liqued I popped it n put some Campho Phinique on it. Later I was watching tv n noticed a small semi painful bump on my finger n now I'm worried I might have it on my hand now. This was last night n it's still not very noticable. Every cold sore I've ever had has grown pretty rapidly n I read another comment saying within 24 hours it was a huge blister on her hand n a red strip up her arm. I know it's possible to get it anywhere on your body but there was no cut on my finger. What do you think???
