Natural remedy - St Johns Wort and Licorice root for Herpes
On my latest OB I have been using a tincture of St Johns Wort and Licorice root and I am not claiming its a miracle cure but I think it works as well anything else. I put a few drops on a qtip and apply. It burns some at first because of the alcohol base but after one day it really made a difference. And after a couple days I have no more iching, tingling, or pain. The best part is there are no side effects. I used some cream the doc prescribe for a while and this works just as well and way better than abreva. Thats my two cents.

Well first things first i do not have herpes. On the other hand i am a herbalist though. I would like to make a suggestion to try goldenseal, echinacea, olive leaf extract, apply tea tree oil strait to cold sore during breakout for hsv2, astragalus, oil of oregano pill form, cats claw, L-Lysine, and garlic. Take recommended dosage of Olive leaf extract, garlic, L-Lysine, and Astragalus. Everything else take one pill daily. You should be breakout free in 6 weeks, if you keep with it. Note even if you get to be breakout free, do not get off the regiment totally give time to your body to run its natural body function for a week or two with no pills. After a week or two then continue regiment. This regiment helps keeps your immune system strong. Herpes is beatable if you play your cards right. I use to study herbs all the time, and still do.
