My boyfriend and I just realized that we both have genital herpes that I got from another guy when we were broken up and dating other people. I wish I hadn't been so stupid. Anyway, we are both currently having outbreaks on our genitals and haven't seen doctors yet but plan to on Monday. Just with research etc..we can pretty much figure out what it is. I'm upset and scared and embarrassed. Do I have to worry about passing this on to my kids? Ages 8, 6 and 3? Also, when I have sex with my boyfriend from now on do we have to be careful with bodily fluids getting onto other parts of our bodies even though we both have herpes? If I want to perform oral sex on him do I have to worry about getting herpes in my mouth and then also having type 1? If anyone can answer any of these for me it would help! Thank you!
