Chickenpox Vaccine Linked with Shingles Epidemic

Goldman, Ph.D., reveals high rates of shingles (herpes zoster) in Americans since the government's 1995 recommendation that all children receive chicken pox vaccine. Goldman's research supports that shingles, which results in three times as many deaths and five times the number of hospitalizations as chicken pox, is suppressed naturally by occasional contact with chicken pox.
Report: Herpes Test Often Wrong
Posted August 30th, 2005 by jackThere's a fairly disturbing report being reported by Reuters that says Herpes lab tests are often wrong. According to the report published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology more than half of 172 labs reported a sample as being positive for HSV2 (Genital Herpes), when in actual fact, it was negative, but positive for HSV1 (cold sores).

The results of a cross-sectional study of 1000 married heterosexual couples in four cities in sub-Saharan Africa, published in the latest issue of the journal AIDS, suggest that HSV-2 is the key risk factor in promoting HIV transmission.
