Question about Varicella Titer

My Varicella Titer was Negative. I am 50
years old, have had chickenpox and been
exposed many times afterwards. I also
have herpes simplex about 2-3 times a
year and take Valtrex.
Would this cause my titer to be negative.
Would it be recommended to take the vaccine?
I'm a nurse and my exposure risk is high.

I dont know the answer to your question but I am a 49 year old women and since you are a nurse I was wondering if you know anything about herpetic neuralgia? I have had herpes2 for about 1 year & for the last 3 weeks alot of pains that fits the description. Thanks
