ISO the right answer..
Well im not sure if this is the right part or not but i have a question that i have not been able to find the answer to on any online sites. My situation is as follows. I am with a girl who, the doctors have told her, has genital herpes. One night after drinking, I went down on her, had sex with her without a condom, and kissed her after all of it. My first question would be, is it guaranteed that I received the virus from having unprotected sex with her; she was not having an outbreak. Also, would the genital virus have transferred to my mouth? And when I kissed her afterwards, would that mean she is infected in the mouth too? And my most important question, if i do have the infection in my mouth can i still kiss her? with or without a outbreak? My only thought from reading up on this which is really new to me, is that i MUST get checked to be sure.
Thank you for all your time, and any questions you can answer for me.

Let me see if I can help here...
To answer your first question, it is NOT guaranteed that you received the virus from her at all. If she was not having an outbreak, the odds are "fairly" low, but possible.
The second question has to do with transmission and autoinnoculation.
Not considering your first question, let's assume for a moment that she was having an outbreak.
Transmission is entirely possible from her genitals to your mouth. Your partner can also experience autoinnoculation, which is when the virus is spread from one part of your body to another (ie: genitals to finger, eye, nose, anus, mouth).
If you are having or suspect you are having an outbreak, do not kiss or come in physial contact with your partner. You CAN give it back to them. I know this from personal experience!
Sorry this sounds so negative. I didn't mean to come across this way.
Not negitive WTF, I have
Not negitive WTF, I have experienced autoinnoculation too on my finger, (SHITTY) I think it is a disservice to act like it is almost impossible to happen as some people do, I had one person on here tell me straight up it couldn't happen, I bet if it was her with the sore on her hand she would believe it. If you have dry cracked hands, keep them away from any area you have an outbreak or areas where you do have them. Just hope to save someone the heart ache I have had to go through.
