Herpes Doctor

I wasn't sure what category to put this in, so, I'll keep it in general for now. 1 week ago, my friend and I had unprotected oral sex. She found a cold sore and has been treating it with Zorimax (or something sounding like that), she has had cold sores about 3 times in her life.

This past week, about 5 days after our initial oral - genital contact, I got sick. I have had flu like symptoms, including fever, aches, tiredness, and swollen lymph glands, but, only in my neck, nothing in my groin area. I have no redness, tenderness, bumps, anything on my penis or genital area, and I have nothing around my mouth. Could this just be a coincidence, or, is this the onset of Herpes? I thought that the mild fever (mine went on for 3 days) followed the rash, not preceeded it, and so far, nothing.
