Herpes Doctor

I have had Cold Sores my whole life! I started to get Cold Sores in 2nd or 3rd grade. I am a male 24, white (Caucasian) and so people know I am a virgin! I am straight! I have always wondered if Oral Herpes can kill some one like the aids virus or any other deadly virus! So please I have never been to the doctor for my cold sores because I know I have Oral Herpes not Genital so there is really no point for me to go! But I have kept them(Cold Sores) at bay for over 2 years with lip balm and other products! But please I need a deffinite answer CAN ORAL HERPES (COLD SORES) CAUSE DEATH OR LESSEN A LIFE SPAN? Thanks!
