Herpes Doctor

I have a cold sore that I am currently treating with "Campho-Phenique" and sometimes it may itch a little which causes me to react to it like i would to any normal itch and try to scratch it but before i even start to scratch i feel the dry sore and quickly pull away. So the bad news is i think i may have passed the virus on to my genitals, because I was Masturbating and shortly after the tip of my penis was itchy. It look like two very very small pumps were forming right next to each other were it was itchy but i dont know if it was a symptom or if i was just really freakin out which i still am because its only been one day.
The good thing is the itching stopped after a good nights rest and the pumps(or it could be the way my penis is because i was really freakin out at the thought of having herpes) haven't grown. I did some research and found out symptoms range in between the 2- 20 day of contracting the virus so that calm me down a bit but i am still worried and just want a doctors approval of what is happening. so is it possible i have genital herpes now?
