Gave my GF mono

I've had mono before, so it's in my body. I gave my gf mono, and she's currently infected(however her symptoms are starting to become less harsh because shes had it a week now). Since I've had mono before, can I catch it from her and have the symptoms all over again, or will my body be immune to it's symptoms since I've had it before, like chickenpox, I won't be able to catch the badness of it again?
