Can Oral Herpes 1 be spread by pillow during sleep?

Can you spread the Herpes 1 virus to other parts of your body with your pillow when sleeping? For example, if you have an outbreak and rub a cold sore on the pillow and then turn so your eye is exposed to that area?

If so, how do people with oral herpes outbreaks deal with sleeping?

Maybe...

It's possible I suppose, but I've had outbreaks and I thrash about in my sleep, plus I get coldsores on my lips only if my lips are chapped... and if that was going to spread it would be all over my lips by now... and it isn't.

It's been said that your body develops antibodies to the virus so that it won't spread to other areas. To be honest with you, it'd have to be in place for a bit before it spread. And hopefully you aren't leaking and you are taking good care of the wound... like any wound... before sleeping. The herpes virus doesn't last long out of the wound apparently. It doesn't make any sense, but... that's what it is.

People with outbreaks take care of their wounds before, during, and after. Most of use are extremely worried about spreading and infecting others. It's a shitty situation all around.
