Herpes Doctor

I've been with one partner (we now live together) for about 8 or 9 months. I've been tested since my last partner and everything came back negative. She's also been tested, and is pretty open about these things to begin with. For the third time now I've had a few recurring symptoms and I've become concerned.

The symptoms are:
1. Extremely itchy pubic hair region. Like can't help but scratch it itchy.
2. Pubic region turns red and slightly inflamed from all of the itching
3. In about 12 hours itching subsides but now where I was itching is sore and red
4. 24-36 hours Itchy area turns into red pimple like bumps in the pubic region. I usually also notice a few red spots on the shaft of my penis that are similarly itchy. Sometimes 2 close together sometimes just one really small one
5. 48-72 hours The tops of most of the irritated bumps turn into tiny little scabs (including those on my shaft) and the skin around the head of my penis becomes dry and peels
6. After a week all heals and goes away like it never happens

So those are the symptoms. This has happened 3 times now about 2 months apart each time.

A few common scenarios to these symptoms are:
1. Every time has been about 1-2 weeks after shaving pubic region
2. Every time has been preceded by a lot of sex, like 4-8 times in a day, falling asleep and waking up with the itching.
3. I specifically remember 2 of the 3 times this happened I also had cold/flu like symptoms before it started
4. I'd also say that all of the bumps, including those on my shaft could be hair follicles

Other things to note are
1. I had appendicitis and had my appendix removed in the midst of all of these symptoms
2. I had a weird rash on my elbow that even a doctor couldn't diagnose and just gave me a generic cream that I didn't use and the rash just went away
3. I also noticed recently that I occasionally get tiny needle tip sized sores beside my finger nail on the side of my finger, usually happens preceding the issue in my pubic region

It seems as if an infection sets off another one that sets off another etc...

Any ideas?
