HELP! dealing with the pain of herpes breakouts.

I am writing because i am in so much pain from herpes breakouts. and this pain seems intolerable. Every two weeks for two weeks i get them. it starts with two days of a pain in the back of my leg followed by a soreness right where i know the breakout is going to be. followed by redness and lesions, and severe pain. i can seriously barely walk. and everytime i sit, stand, walk, lay down, move at all for that matter i am in so much pain i am almost (and sometimes) in literal tears. my husband doesnt get these breakouts at all. but i do. it means two weeks where i cant be intimate with him. two weeks of not being able to work out or even walk without almost crying. I am currently pregnant so i cant take any medication, but i might have to have a c-section becuase i dount i will be breakout free for delivery, and i want what is safest for the baby. herpes seems like it is ruining my life. even when i was taking the medication i still got the breakouts just as frequent and painful. if you have any advice at all please post to this. i would really appreciate it. and i am sorry to anyone else who has this terrible virus.

are you able to take natural

are you able to take natural remedies like Red Marine Algae and Lysine suppliments?? i would ask you doctor. i am going today to buy some as i read that they can help. I am having a sever (first time) outbreak so i'll let you know in a few days if i notice any improvement.

I was on Lysine when I was

I was on Lysine when I was pregnant, I did it under the watchful eye of a natualpath Doctor. I was also on Vit. C and taking fish oil as well. Brewers yeast is also something that could help I forget why, but I did take that while I was pregnant as well. That would be safe. http://www.natropractica.com/ Christopher write on this site sometimes, and he could put you on pregnancy safe remedies.
I personally haven't used his remedies, but they look really good.

Famciclovir can do some help

Famciclovir work well to many people who living with it. My friends on a herpes site named stdpal..com mentioned it works very well on many users on that site. Most of them can manage it successfully now. For more tips, you can check the blog named: herpes and outbreaks"

I know how you feel

I was just diagnosed with vaginal herpes after 12 years with my husband.
I have birthed 5 kids of my own body and this totally took me by surprise since I have never had symptoms that I can remember before.

My midwife feels that although this seems like a first breakout, I wasnt recently exposed to it, so she feels I have been carrying this for a while perhaps. My husband has only been with me.

This past breakout has been pretty uncomfortable. The leg and buttox pain, the sores ache deep and itch and burn and sting. I wash my hands a kabillion times a day too now.

I have started on the Valtrex, I'm not sure of it's safety during pregnancy. The headaches are my only problem with this. After 3 weeks of these things, Im looking forward to them going away.

The main thing is to keep this under control during birth. Eat well, my dear, relax.... relax relax relax, all this stress causes the outbreaks to be more frequent and harsher and last longer. Consider getting some vaginal medical spray for the pain. I have had them in the past after having my children and they numb that area and should be safe for pregnancy. I also find, myself, that putting antibiotic ointment on them helps... maybe it's the barrier?

I wish you the best of luck in this, my dear, and the very BEST pregnancy and birth you can imagine!

HI...

Another question to you ... When you were pregnant before were you not tested for all STD's ??? How is it possible that you didn't know ? Sorry, I am just curious.

hi

I wish you the best,I think taking vitamins will be good for you, always ask your doctor, and think positive, relax. Maybe you are passing for a horrible moment now, but is also the most beautiful-having a baby. Take care!!!
