blood test results

if one partner has a positive blood result for type 2 and the other has an outbreak but a negative blood test does this mean the one with the positive test contracted first?

hmmmmm... the partner that has an outbreak should get the swab test done to make sure/find out what causes the outbreak. the person wh an outbreak and negative blood results most likely contracted the infection recently....this is why the antibodies aren't detectable yet...
