she can go on a suppresive therapy to reduce your risk of getting it ( and valtrex i think redusces that risk to as little as 4 % if used with a condom) .... it isn't so bad ...after years of having h the viral shedding (period when it is contageous) of an infected person is like 11-12 days per year ( i read that in a book called "Herpes Bible" written by a known std specailist) ...I have also read posts by couples (one + H one - H) where they would not use anything for years and one still remained uninfected (it all depends though on the asymptomatic shedding I think). One advice I can give you if you realy like this girl you should not let H stop you from being with her and possibly being happy becasue LOVE, true love, is hard to find and it is rare... so be careful but don't let a minor skin disorder scare you ;)

If you are really worried, the female condom covers more of the area. It is very unromantic, but it will protect you better... Just something to check out.
