I was wondering if someone could help me clear something up. I heard you can get genital herpes from oral sex. My boyfriend recently did oral sex on me and a few days later I had a weird red mark on my vagina with a bright white dot in the middle. He didnt have a cold sore while doing it, but got one a few days later. Is it possible to get genital herpes from someone who doesnt have an outbreak but gets one later? thanks so much!

thats how i got it...
I was never fond of a man going down on me, but my ex insisted that he was amazing at it so... whateever i let him, but 2 weeks later I had a nice suprise "down there" , i went to the gyno and it was herpes, I had never had sex with him at that point and i told the doctor that he went down on me, and she said that that is how i got it... he got cold sores/canker sores every now and then so.. thats how i got it... so sorry, your answer is yes, you can get it that way... sucks, but everything will be okay :)
