if 2 people test + for HSV1, BUT only person1 gets cold-sores & person2 doesn't, can person1 give cold-sores to person2?

what i want to know is:
if 2 people test positive for HSV1,
but only 1 of them gets cold sores and the other doesn't,
could the person who has never had cold sores start getting them from kissing the person who occasionally does get cold sores?

even if both people currently test positive to HSV1?
is there anything the 2nd person could contract from the 1st that would cause cold sores even if they already have HSV1?
maybe a kind of "different HSV1 strain"?
or is there only 1 HSV1 strain and it just depends on the person's bodily reaction to the single HSV1 strain that exists??

I would say kiss away.

I would say kiss away. Person that doesn't get sores, is obvously because they have a good immune defence against the herpes virus. that is like me and my hubby, he never gets outbreaks.
