Multi-site Transmission

in

My gf contracted HSV 1 on her genital from oral sex with me. Her outbreaks are rarely painful at this point, and sex doesn't seem to affect it.

Since I have simplex 1 that exhibits itself on my mouth, can I get it on my genitals from having unprotected sex with her during an outbreak?

We've had sex for 4 months without any incident and I'm wondering since the virus is already present in my body, minus any open cuts, etc., if it won't allow transmission to a new area.

thanks

I have spread the same

I have spread the same strain to a different part of my body, is it possible? yes, is it common? I would say, not by what I have read.

If she has H 1 or H2 on her

If she has H 1 or H2 on her genitals and she has an OB and you two have unprotected sex, Yes,please don't have contact with the part of the body that has any symptoms, either of you, this is from the first tingly feeling until the skin heals back to normal.the only way i know the virus can spread to another part of your own body is though the nerves. the virus is contracted from having contact with the blisters on another persons body and then moves to the nerve ganglion , which is like the intersection point between the main spinal nerves that run down your spine and the nerves that branch out to the other areas,The spinal nerves are a bit like the trunk of a tree and the branches go out to the other parts of the body, When we have an OB, the virus re-activates and travels down the nerves, these nerves ( or branches) split up to different sites on the skin, e.g H1 is in the ganglion's in the neck, these branch out to different sites around the face, usually around the lips and mouth,(these nerves from my knowledge don't go to the fingers) the same with H2, H2 is in the ganglion's in the base of the spline and can branch out to the genital areas, thighs, back passage , lower back.i used to only get an OB on my genitals ( years ago ) now i only get it on my thigh. These nerves do not run down to say the toes, so im a bit confused when Niki said she has given it to her finger unless she had a cut on the finger at the time.
As a practitioner of Chinese med ( H is the reason i studied to diploma level Chinese Med), i notice i get the painful tingly feeling before an OB along the liver meridian from my big toe up to the top of my leg, left leg only ( the meridain is the line on the skin which the acupuncture points lie on, have a look at an acupunture picture)the emotions that go with the liver is anger, frustration with the way life is flowing, e.g not smoothly, decision making, grumpy moods etc.( when people drink to much alcohol, they tend to be aggressive and want to fight, this is because the alcohol is affecting the liver) hence why i can get a bit grumpy sometimes, usually just before an OB lol. Also i notice most people get H on the left side of their body, this corresponds with the past as opposed to the future.
the only way i have heard someone getting it on thier fingers are doctors that have taken a swab , using a needle and then accidentally stabbing themselves in the finger with that same needle, but with some else's virus on that needle.
Hope this is not to confusing and helps.

wooddragon the way I think I

wooddragon the way I think I got it was putting in a tampon while having an outbreak, I very vaguely remember accidently touching my outbreak and then washing my hands right away. I have dry hands so it is possible there was a crack in my skin. believe me it happened, and I am not happy about it to say the least.

Hi Niki, i do believe you

Hi Niki, i do believe you honest, i think you very unfortunate for this to have happened and can understand you are not happy about it.When i had a support group going the woman said they often got an Ob during their period so this makes sense, when you said dry hands i didn't realize dry, as in ,maybe cracks on your hands.i think this is good info for other woman.i know a woman , who had H1 on her lips and she kissed her new born, who had eczema and she passed H to him on top of the eczema, this was something new to me ,so i asked the doc at the STD clinic and she said yes it can happen, so shows when anyone has an OB to be careful of the site of the OB, even after 23 years iI am far from an expert on the subject lol.
