Herpes Doctor

Im still not sure if I have herpes. I live in China and its not easy for me to find a doctor that can speak English. It started with some red bumps that developed into a rash below my belly button to my public area. Then that went away and I had a large puss filled pimple on the pelvic area of my leg, when I popped it white puss came out and the sore turned into a purple scar. Now I have a rash on my leg around the public area and it hasn't gone away for over a month, the area in the center has a light brown discoloation and the outter part of the rash is red. Is this what herpes looks like?

I have been with my girlfriend for almost a year now, I didn't get an outbreak until 4 or 5 months after we had been together. I don't know if she has it or not.
