Confused
About a year ago I had unprotacted sex and about 2 weeks later went for a STD the doctor thought I had Herpes by the looks of it even though i had no pain at all. the results came back negative for any STDs inclu herpes. Then about 2 months ago I had an outbreak and it was so painful and after reading the information about herpes my symptoms were exactly the same ( i havnt had any sexual contact since my first negative exam) so I went back to the doctor and again they looked at it and told me it defently looked like herpes but the results came back negative again!! I'm so confused as now i have another outbreak and its sore and i have nothing to stop the pain. Do I go back to the doctors for 3rd time lucky. Does any one know if it could be something else. I hate no knowing and I want to start fixing it because i cant handle the pain. Thing is I have just recently moved over seas and with how much it cost i dont know if i can afford to get another negative result from the doctors. ARGH! HELP!

treatment
Also can any one give me advise on how well the medication works and what the pain levels r like when u have been taking the medication. I can hardly walk at the moment as its so painful. Its like your whole life stops for the duration of you out break
The pain medicine should be
The pain medicine should be take at first signs of an outbreak and if taken while an outbreak is already there, I find it really does nothing. (I started it while having a bad outbreak, and it lasted about as long as ususal) It need to be taken at first tingling symptoms and can many times prevent the outbreak from happening altogether, If I was you I would get some vitamin E salve and put it on the sores as when I first caught herpes one of the things that helped if feel a bit better. I would in the mean time buy some oil of oregano or olive leaf extract of both as they are ant viral. You could try tea tree oil diluted and the q- tip it on sores. Acyclovir works really well my outbreaks years later were still so severe I was put on acyclovir for a year straight in hopes during that time my body would learn to deal with the virus better, so I hope that works I am dont the year next month, but I have only had one outbreak in 11 months. I will write more later, I would try to improve your immune system. I have some more ideas, read my earlier posts, I woudl go to curezone and look under herpes, bob beck and MMS. google curezone.
Being diagnosed but "negative"
The deal with the negative swabs is that the stuff they need it ID it on a swab is there in the first day or two that the bump appears. It really sucks because you have to time it within the first day or so of your first bump to get into your docs fast enough. Basically they need a sore to break open to get a good enough swab. Sounds painful, but it's really fast and just a discomfort. I had two negative tests but the visuals were positive. A third outbreak yeilded a crop that was fruitful, meaning a good swab and a positive ID of HSV1.
Also, while being misdiagnosed i was in ALOT of pain as well, i spent the whole week with my legs seperated by pillows and/or lying on the couch and letting them "air dry". Not sure if that is worse or better as a 'cure' but i found once the sores were open to air it was more mangeable pain.
Accidents Happen, but there is a life after, I promise!
