UNUSUAL HERPES SYMPTOMS

Hi, I am new to this board. but I need to get some answers since none of the drs that I have seen can help me on this.. Let me start from the beginning.. I have had genital herpes symptoms for the past 8 years. I have had numerous hsv 1 and 2 IGG) Herpes Select blood tests.. (5 in total) and they all were negative. (.05) result. I do not get the classic symptom of blisters.. Mine look like pimples.. I have gone to 5 different doctors.. They will not culture what looks like to them a pimple or cyst.. They say that is not herpes.. They sometimes appear under the skin. but the visible ones are not blisters. but I get the other symptoms, plus more.. Burning urination, restless legs, pain/ache legs, sore lymph nodes under arm pits, pain down buttocks, pimples on inner thighs which I have been told foliculitis.. but they refuse to culture any of these bumps. I even had a culture of genital fluid when I thought what I call was a beginning of an outbreak, where it hurts to urinate, itching etc.. (but again no blisters) that genital fluid culture was also negative. I am also a recovering alcoholic (yes, I am posted on the alcohol forum). The other symptoms that I get just before I feel like I am having an outbreak is the feeling of withdrawal symptoms( shakiness, staggering walk, fuzzy brain, ringing in ears). raised body temperatures, pimples on the face and bach, I also feel like I am shaking on the inside like my internal organs are going to pop out, foggy brain, clumsy walk, weakness in hands/feet, I finally talked my last dr to put me on valtrex (have been taking 500 mg since April) (also they would come at least 1 per month.. may be more) because I couldn't deal with this anymore. She did, but I keep getting these symptoms. I am also menopausal If you did, does your anxiety feel the same way.. I have been doing a lot of research on this but herpes symptoms do not match any of these neurological symptoms that are occuring.. Now dr say genital herpes doesn't cause any neurological symptoms, but doing extensive reading from others with this condition.. some say they do experience some sensations.. All this MESS lasts about 2 weeks total.. Am I going crazy

Weird.

I'm sorry, I don't really know what to tell you, only that I have HSV-1 (usually only oral, but can be genital too, and the guy who gave it to me had it genitally so thus, I have it genitally too)

HSV-1 is more mild than hsv-2 which is usually strictly genital.

With that said, ANY time I get an HSV-1 outbreak, all i get is A VERY FEW THINGS on my upper vagina that literally only look like raised bumps and pimples. The word "sore" or "blister" doesn't even slightly describe it. All it looks like is just a few small pimples or razer bumps. and I do mean SMALL, as in, only about a cm or less.

I can't speculate on the rest of your symptoms, however maybe you should look into the possiblity of having some sort of parasite or worm. I know that sounds a little weird and gross, but ringing in the ear is a symptom of that. BUT I dont' want to scare you, ringing in the ear could be anyhting, honsetly.

Maybe you also have a UTI? Seems strange, but sometimes UTI's can make you really sick. Sometimes they can be reoccuring too...

Also, it is possible to have similar neurological symptoms by spreading herpes to the brain, while its a 1 in a million chance, it's still a chance. But if you're negative for a blood test, you don't have it.

Usually, I get the exact same symtoms you do for extended outbreaks. Go get a blood test asap, it may help to elimitate the factor.

Also, Mono is something to look into too. Usually only last 2 weeks, but sometimes the body takes an incredibly long time to recover.
