A Cure for Herpes - New Research Encouraging

P Vijayan and co-workers at the J S S College of Pharmacy in Ootacamund in Tamil Nadu report that extracts of Hypericum Mysorense and Hypericum Hookeranum suppressed HSV infection 100 per cent.

The scientists studied anti-viral activity of extracts of 18 plants against HSV-infected cells in test-tubes and found these two plants to be deadly against HSV at low concentrations.

We were unable to find much more data on this, we will try to find out more. See the full Herpes cure story here...

eye herpes

How long does herpes have to be in your system before it reaches the eye?

Herpes Cure

Is there really a cure for herpes? If so what do I need to do to get a hold of the cure?

It won't reach your eye!

Just to reassure you, your genital herpes will NOT get to your eye. If you have type 2 on your genitals, that it where it will stay (same for type 1). The virus can only infect you once, on one nerve pathway. Please worry no longer about that.

Lido

Lido, where did you get the info that it can only infect you once on one pathway? I was sure you could pass genital herpes to other parts of your body say if you touched a sore on genitals then right after touched your say dry cracked lips or rubbed your eye. If you could direct me to some info to back that up, I would greatly appreciate it, since I don't believe it, but I would like to know if it actually was true, since that would be good to know, since I am concerned.

Thanks Lido

Thanks, that site offered some useful information. Sorry I read again and I realized that you were saying that it won't spread to the eye on it's own,(through the nerves) I thought you were saying you don't have to worry about touching sores then eyes. I guess there is always something to learn, I want to specify I wasn't being rude to you, I honestly wanted to know where you got your info. Take Care.

BUT...

I do think if you touched your genital herpes and then your eye right away, then you could pass it to your eye that way.

Apparently not!

Hi again Niki,
I really did mean that you're not supposed to be able to pass it by touching your infected area with your hand then touching your eye. I guess you could pass on some bacteria that way, but no-body's body can ever be infected twice by the same virus EVER! Once you have been infected by it on a part of your body, you have the virus. To spread it around would mean a second infection and that is not possible (even with the flu virus...you never get the same one twice.). This is the low down on virus infection from the medical world.
Knowing that, I would still avoid doing it as blisters can contain bacteria which CAN be spread around easily.
I have a herpes leaflet here for patients and it specifies that this is true. Anyone else here able to back this up??

Didn't think you were being rude, but thanks for letting me know ;-)

you know, what Lido, good to

you know, what Lido, good to know thanks.

Herepes Simplex

I have this outbreak of Genital Herepes Siplex around my foreskin of my penis. The best was I went to a Infectious Disease Clinic and the doctor said it was afungal infection. He gave me some cream to apply. I told him that I suspected thjat it is Herepes Simplex and he did not concurr so I stop seeing the doctor and have been suffering in silence. Is ther any cure? If yes what it is? If not how do I make it less painfull?

Thanks
