I Have Herpes - Don't You?

I Have Herpes -Don't You? is the tag line for the International Herpes Week, 10 - 16 October 2004, aiming to make people aware that Herpes is one of the most common viruses in the world and that there is no need to be embarrassed about it.

You can read more about it on the International Herpes Alliance's page dedicated to the International Herpes Week. Please help spread the message.

simplex 1

it seems easier for someone to find a happy partner infected with simplex 2 genitally than if you are stuck with simplex 1-as fewer people have this genitally. People who believe they are unaffected simply do not want the risk-whether thr risk reduction is 75% or 95% and what men typically want is testing to be negative and no condoms! Many men have trouble maintaining an erection with a condom and simply don't want the hassle. I will probably never have sex again for the remainder of my life because of simplex 1. And even though I don't get much in the way of symptoms ever, my doctor wants to force antivirals on me. And I am not unethical and would never have sex without informing a partner. I feel stimatized by the new medication in some ways. It has been 5 years since I have had an intimate relationship because of this.
