How Long is Mono Contagious?
I first contracted mono in early September 2004, came down sick late Spetember and recovered by mid October. I have been trying to find out if I am still contagious or not, as I have started seeing someone and would like to be romantically involved without giving them the virus. What are the chances I am stil contagious? I am hearing different things from different people, some say two months, some say six, some say a year. Are there any tests I can take to see if I am still contagious or not? Any info would be greatly appriciated, thank you...
Mononucleosis Risk Period
Hi,
Take a look at our general Mononucleosis section and our Mononucleosis FAQ.
You are most likely to pass on Mono in the incubation period but you are also at risk during the illness and a couple of months after. Check with your doctor, but I would say that you are safe by now.
Kind regards,

It's contageous
It's contageous forever!
It's true, because you never really get rid of it. Obviously it's MOST likely to be passed on with a full blown infection. This stuff I'm going to post below helps you to kill all the germs in your mouth, easy symptoms, boost immunity and fight the infection.
Good luck & God Bless you all!
