Is it safe to have sex with someone who has Herpes?
Hello I met a nice woman we been dating for a year I asked her to make love to me that’s when she told me she had Herpes but it was ok to have sex. I need to know I MEEN REALY NEED TO KNOW if it is SAFE to have sex with her. Even if I used a condom will the touching of skin around the penis to the vagina and getting vagina fluids on my skin could I catch Herpes? Please, Please tell me the safest way to not catch herpes I don’t want anything to stay with me for life but family and money.

I assume your girlfriend has Genital Herpes? Unfortunately the answer to your question is no. Condoms do not provide 100% protection from Genital Herpes as the lesions can be anywhere between the knees and belly.
But Genital Herpes is not a life threatening disease and if you do use a condom, don't have sex when there is an outbreak and your girlriend takes antiviral medication, you run a very low risk of catching Geital Herpes.

You did not answer: touching the penis skin to the vagina skin while having sex can I catch herpes? Also getting vagina fluids on my skin could I catch herpes? IM not sure just how herpes is transferred to person to person can a person catch it simply by touching or is transferred through sperm or is it inside the vagina sorry for being dumb to herpes this is why I’m asking because I don’t want to catch it thanks for your first responds

Genital Herpes is contagious via mucus membranes, found in the mouth, genitals, nose, eyes and anus. They contain a thick liquid in which Genital Herpes travels. Sperm and vaginal fluids will usually be mixed with the fluids from mucus membranes.

You have nothing to worry about. Genital Herpes (I assume that's what you mean) only transfers via intimate contact with mucus membranes which are found in the mouth, genitals, nose, eyes and anus. They contain a thick liquid in which Genital Herpes travels. Sperm and vaginal fluids will usually be mixed with the fluids from mucus membranes. Sweat does not contain Genital Herpes virus. So you are okay to have a massage.

Drinking from same glass
would somebody catch herpes if you drink from the same cup?
Genital HSV-1 AND HSV-2 compound infection.
I'm a male and have genital HSV-2 and my female partner has genital HSV-1 she acquired orally from a previous relationship with a person who had oral HSV-1. We have yet to have intimate contact but is it possible for either one of us to spread our own genital "versions" to the other person's genitals? I don't want genital 1 and she doesn't want genital 2. Are we safe from each other?

No, you're not. It's that simple.
Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it. Herpes Simplex 1 and 2 are very similar and require the same treatment.

outbreak free for 20+ years
I was diagnosed as having genital herpes in the 1970's before drugs like zovirax came on the market. I was vaccinated twice with smallpox vaccine which cleared up all lesions. I had several outbreaks after that, but have been asymptomatic for 20+years. I have had several relationships that have not acquired herpes from me, the last being a marriage of 20+ years. My question is this, if I were to change partners what would be the likelihood of him/her becoming infected from me and would drugs like acyclovir prevent transmission?

I got herpes using condoms...the jerk of course didn;t share that he had it...he was close to an outbreak..because soon after i breakout..he had one.
even if you use condoms you can get it...by touching skin...and condoms break...and some fluids excape the condom...if it is not on all the way..comes off when pulling out and vigorus sex.
