Herpes and partners
Is it possible for one partner to be infected without getting the other? My girlfriend was diagnosed with it and now I'm getting checked out. I don't see any signs of it though on me.

Relationships and Herpes
Hi,
Yes, it is possible to be in a relationship with someone who has Genital Herpes and not get it yourself. What you do is avoid sex during outbreaks, take antiviral medication and use condoms. This doesn't protect you 100% but it't the best you can do. Some people get it, some don't, and we don't know why.

Relationships and Herpes
I've been committed to this guy for a year now and i recently went to the Dr. and he tells me that i have genital herpes because i had the visible sores and blisters. He's been tested for herpes and he is fine. Although im not for sure how i got it. My Dr. told me that it could have been asleep in my body this entire time and when i had becomed stress that probably woke it up. We continue having unprotected sex but now im always searching myself and now that im aware of all the symptoms, if i feel just one i wont give him any!
