Feel Bad - Help
I found out 5/10/05 that I have Herpes 1&2. I met someone recently. Now, I had unprotected sex with him once (on 5/1/05). On 5/2/05 I went to my doctors office for a routine check up and get a call 5/10/05 regarding the results. What are the chances of him being exposed? I never had an outbreak. According to my doctor I've had this for some time. I am going to tell him everything, but I need to know how much risk he has of this.

I am guessing you are a female since you said "him", else you are a male with internal lesions, these can occure without your really knowing (penetration just hurts a bit) so you may have been broken out and not known.
Be honest with the guy. Explain that you really had no idea, that you don't know how long you have had it, and you are not sure if he was exposed. Inform him of what herpes looks like so he can watch out for sores.
I am female with outbreaks on the outside, so I am really not sure how you would tell if you were broken out if you can't "look". Since you don't know when you are contagious you may want to consider supressive therapy (meds)
Don't feel that bad, you didn't know you had it and you are letting him know as soon as you found out. That is really all that you can do.
