Newborn with Oral Herpes
My two week old neice has been diagnosed with oral herpes she received from her mothers open cold sore. Currently in hospital and very ill. Myself and my family including small children have not seen her but would love to do so. How concerned should I be about my children around this baby. thankyou for your time during this trying time.

Sorry to hear about your niece, hope she's getting better.
Oral Herpes transfers via intimate physical contact with the mouth area, so as long as you don't kiss or get near the ill babys mouth, you're fine.
