I was just diagnosed with HSV-1. I am 99% sure i got it
from my boyfrined. After having sex with my boyfrined, the day
i cam home i felt like i was getting the flu. I was dizy,had a
sore throat, and my vagina ached,burned and itched really really
bad. I have never experienced anything this bad. After about 2 days
i burned when i urinated, and i felt sore spots on my vagina. I thought
maybe they were cuts, but when i looked at them they were blistery
and oozing. I had about 5 of them. They hurt so bad that sitting
down and standing up was painful. I told my boyfriend that i had
a viral culture taken from one of the sores and it came back poisitve
At first he said that I didnt catch it from him because he has
never had any symptoms. A week and a half prior to my outbreak I
noticed a red, raw "cut like" area on the side of his penis shaft.
I asked him what it was and he said prolly friction or iratation
from sex, and not having enough lubrication. I beleived him. It
didnt look like the herpes blisters i had. He said it hurt if
i touched it to hard. SO after being diagnosed i asked him about
the cut again and he said that he has gotten them before but
its from the sex being to dry.and that they go away in a few days for hime. But I noticed this cut on him a week and a half after i first noticed it. So uhh thats more thena few days.Could that be a sign of herpes on him and he jsut doesnt know it?
He is going to get tested soon for Herpes. Is a blood test the best way
to go if there are no visible signs on his penis? I am so sure that i go it
form him. MY doctor said my symptoms were all signs of a primary
herpes outbreak, meaning the first time my body has been exposed
to the virus. SO i jsut has to be from him. He has had alot more sexual partners
then me. I know i got it from hie. We have been exculsive form 5 months. If he takes a blood test the herpes anitbodies will show up right? Im devastated and scared that the test will be incorrect. HELP?!
