Diagnosing Interal Shingles

i have spots on my back on the joint that goes to your neck and it is purple looking very painfull and all swell up like in my joint and muscle area very painfull the dr said i had interal shingle it has been 3 months now i still in pain. how would i really know if that is what i have. thank you vickie

I think you'd have to ask your doctor for a proper test don't you? I can't imagine a better way, and a visual examination would be inconclusive, although im guessing your doctor is probably correct.
