Herpes Doctor

I got herpes 10 years ago and haven't had an outbreak since. For the past two months I have been having a hwite discharge and alot of burning. Twice the doctor told me it was a yeast infection but when I treated it it didn't go away, it did seem to relieve my symptoms but then it would come right back. can't tell if the burning is from a yeast infection or herpes, it's been going on for two months now. I know herpes doesn't last that long. The next two times I went to the dr. he said he didn't see yeast or anything but I had burning. Once he did see some small cuts on my vagina but said yeast infections can do that? During a herpes outbreak is there any discharge? Does it cause a yeast infection? Has anyone had this type of experience not knowing if it's yeast or herpes? It's really stressing me out.
