I am so confused... I had symptoms of Genital herpes... cold/ flu burning and then blisters (there were never any sores). My dr diagnosed me with herpes (I saw her at an active outbreak) however, my blood resultts
and culture both came back negative. I have not had a new partner and my husband swears that he has not. Therefore the dr says that I do not need to retake the test b/c she ran it
for long term and short term exposure. If I have all of the classic sysptoms then
why would it not show up in a blood test? Are the test usually accurate? And also if she ran a test for long term exposure it would show uo right?
