Could this bump be Herpes?
Help! Lately, a few times after sex, not everytime, I will get this sore on my vagina. It starts out as a red and swollen bump. It is in the exact same place every time (it's in the place where the bartholin's gland is)but this is the confusing part. It comes to a head and looks like a pimple. In a few days it goes away. It is just one single bump. The last time I had it, it came to a head and the next day as I was driving I felt a stinging and when I looked at it it had popped and there was blood. I took a warm bath and within two hours it was better and the next monring it was completely gone as if nothing was there. It is not a blister, no pain urinating and no fever, etc. I've read so many different symptoms of herpes. Has anyone out there had something like this and been diagnosed as herpes. Thanks for the help.

Hi Carol45,
It doesn't sound like Genital Herpes, it's not severe enough ;) Usually there are more symptoms, maybe headache, fever, more bumps and redness in the area.
It sounds like a skin irritation. See a doctor, or better, a dermatologist or a gynaechologist.

I have a similar problem like you almost. Every now and then like yourself after having intercourse i'd find myself sore down there, always to the right side of my inner labia, i just always thought it was from rough sex so i was not really concerned and never even really checked myself down there until recently. I found a small red bump and it would burn when I urinated after maybe the third day of having it.Sometimes after i would gently wipe myself after urinating i'd have a little blood on the toilet tissue from the sore. Anyway it's always only on that one spot, nowhere else, but it was time for my pap so I mentioned it to my doctor who tested me for herpes but gave me hope saying she just thought it was a little inflammation.Well, sure enough it came back positive.I was so devastated considering I have only been sexually active with 1 person who is now my husband, I didnt deserve this. Anyway my suggestion to you is if you continue to have these bumps or bump, I'd strongly recommend you see your doctor. It's better to know now.
