How does Oral Herpes transfer?

Can you get oral herpes by sharing napkins ash cloths, ect. they say the virus can't survive off human skin, but for how long, when dose it die, minutes, hours? Also what if you have an outbreak and you take a shower and water is dripping down over your cold sore can the water pick up any virus particles and transport them to another part of your body?
I am parioanoid, i know, but answers to these questions will be very apperciated. Thanks.

Oral Herpes transmission

Hi GUY,

No, you can only get Oral Herpes from intimate physical contact with some one who already has it. The virus will only survive a fraction of a second off human skin. And you can't get your own cold sore anywhere else on your body.
