Am I just a carrier of Herpes Simplex?
My wife and i have been together for six years, and just last week she suggestes to me to be checked for herpes, for she she says after she had performed fellacio on me she had gotten a cold sore. is it possible for me to have herpes and never to have had an outbreak of any kind? and if so,why? in other words,can i just be a carrier?please help because i'm very disturbed by her statement for obvious reasons.

If you don't have herpes genitally already, you soon could have if your wife felates you with an active cold sore.
I have never heard of anyone just being a carrier, so cannot confirm this. However, you are unlikely to have passed anything on to her if you have not had an active outbreak. I know viral shedding can occur between outbreaks, but not often.
You've been together for 6 years....hmmm. If you don't use condoms and have regluar sex, I would say it was very likely that you would both have the virus by now.
Your wife could possibly have had oral herpes for years but never known about it. The virus can lay dormant, apparently, for years then express itself for reasons unknown.
If you are not symtomatic, just protect your 'soft' skin areas (lips, penis, eyes, nose etc) when she has an outbreak. You could just well be lucky and not get it from her.
COLD SORES ON THE LIPS AFTER KISSING
HELP! My husband and I have recently gotten back together after a 2 year seperation. He only had one partner during the seperation and swears there were no problems. The problem is I get cold sores on my lips after we have sex. This has happened the last five times. I've never seen a visible cold sore on his lips. I do not perform oral sex on him. Is is possible for a lot of hard kissing to cause recurrence of the virus? He doesn't have the sores. It seems I would be immuned by now. Anybody have any idea what is causing this? Does this virus reactivate every time you come in contact with it. Is is possible for him to pass this on to me this many times even though he doesn't have the cold sores?

Herpes in a hairy back
My husband of 2 years is very hairy, he always scratches his back and his gluteos (butt). i noticed early in our relationship multiples little scares, and asked him to see a Doctor .I known him for 5 years now and he provably visit a doctor three times .
He was never asked to have any tests ,he was provided with over the counter solution as washing with Celsum Blue or other antifongus. (he doesn't have hair in some areas any more). I never thought that could be herpes. Talking to an other person who happend to know a gentleman that was diagnosticed with herpes.
18 months ago I was diagnosticed too, my husband said that he never had a outbreak in his penis.
