Condom that reaches the parts other condoms don't
I just discovered a condom called the pasanté unique. As well as being non-latex and thinner than other condoms, it has a "flared" base which would seem to offer some protection for the area around the base of the penis, and the vulva. Normal condoms don't offer this extra protection, meaning that these areas come into contact during sexual intercourse. Of course, nothing comes with any guarantee to prevent infection, not even physical barrier methods. However it would seem that this condom would give greater coverage, and hence possibly better protection.
