will i catch genital herpes from oral sex?

ive come encountered with herpes type 1, i have cold sores...Ive noticed recently aswell that my girlfriend has a cold sore too...does this mean if she gives me or i give her oral sex that we will get genital herpes? And does this also mean that we should use a condom now ? Please help! and the inside of my noise is sore if i rub it, does that have anything to do with my cold sores?

If you both have HSV type 1 on your mouths, you won't pass it to your genitals. You can only get this virus once, so they tell me. However, you will not be immune to HSV type 2...if you come into contact with that, you can get it on your mouth, genitals etc.
