Herpes Simplex Type 1 IgG

Hello, i had a question regarding the incubation period of herpes simplex. Is there any possibility the result of my test be distorted. for your information, i had a blood swab test for all the STD's panel on the 3 month after possible exposure of the virus and came back negative. but, after that, i had another test post 6 month, and the result came back positive for herpes simple 1. is that possible, considering i don't acually aware any outbreak whatsoever? or that just the lab technical error.
