I don't know if this is herpes or not!

I was on a walk the other day and found some chapstick laying on the ground... I know it was stupid but I didn't think and I used it. Then I started to get sores in my mouth, but I think that I may have been getting them beforehand, because that seemed to happen every time I went to the beach, and it just happens that I had just gone to the beach. But these sores don't break out in like clusters its just one here and there. So for I've only had three. One on the back of my tongue and two on my inner cheek. Do you think this is herpes?

Unusual

Firstly....ew! Picking up a discarded chapstick!! Ha ha! Can't believe you did that :-)
Secondly, I'd be really surprised if you caught herpes off it because I think the virus is unstable outside of body temperature and cannot survive (hence myths about catching it from toilet seats etc).
I wonder why these sores are different from your previous ones? Have you had them looked at by a dr?
